The European Business Angel Network (EBAN) is ready to the support of the development of the African angel community, reports Techmoran.
This statement was credited to Collins Onuegbu, a member of Lagos Angel Network (LAN) and Tomi Davies, President of the African Business Angel Network (ABAN) who attended the European Business Angel Network conference in Eindhoven, Holland to solicit EBAN’s support for the forthcoming Demo Africa event holding by September in Lagos.
“Demo Africa 2014 was a huge success. We hope to build on this. It’s a great opportunity to showcase the local startup scene to the rest of Africa and the world,” Onuegbu says in the TechMoran report. “It is a great opportunity to showcase African startups and help to deepen the investment ecosystem that Africa needs to grow. This year, EBAN will attend.”
EBAN’s entrance into the African angel investment scene would will see them bring forward core necessities such as setting professional standards, training and certification, benchmarking, research and networking with peers, lobbying, raising awareness, capacity building as well as cross-border syndication and co-investment support.
Registration for the DEMO Africa event is still ongoing as TechCabal earlier reported that the submission date of applications has been extended to June 30, 2015.
DEMO Africa 2015 will hold on 24th and 25th September at the Eko Hotels and Suites in Lagos, Nigeria.
