It seems reports of a Floyd Mayweather Jr/KSI vs Manny Pacquiao/Salt Papi tag team boxing match were premature.
Mayweather Jr has since come out and appeared to rubbish these rumours on his Instagram story.
There had been rumours of a tag team fight between KSI/Mayweather vs Pacquiao/Salt Papi

But, Mayweather has shut down these claims
The self proclaimed ‘TBE’ (The Best Ever) shared a post to his Instagram story from Fullsendsports that reads: “Reports of a fight between Floyd Mayweather & KSI vs Manny Pacquiao & Salt Papi are FAKE.
“The fight is not happening…”
The report came from Happy Punch Promotions, who said a match that would see Mayweather and KSI team up against Filipinos Pacquiao and Salt Papi was ‘officially in the works.’
This would not be boxing’s first tag team fight, as KSI’s promotional company, Misfits Boxing, have already tried out the format.
And surprisingly it was a success, as KSI described it as “one of the greatest things I’ve ever seen.”
For Mayweather Jr, however, he seems more focused on his exhibition bouts for the time being.

The retired 50-0 boxing legend has already taken part in a number of exhibition fights since his retirement, taking on American social media star Logan Paul and a few Japanese MMA fighters among others.
And he intends to continue in this vein, as he recently announced he will be having five more exhibitions all over the world in 2023.
The bouts will take place in South Korea, Germany, Japan, Australia and the USA.
The opponents are yet to be announced, but one option could be influencer turned boxer, Jake Paul, following their recent confrontation outside a Miami Heat NBA game.
